Following discussions with REIQ, new standard REIQ House & Land and Residential Lots in a Body Corporate Contracts will not be released on 1 November 2011.
The Queensland Law Society is working with REIQ towards releasing a new standard REIQ House & Land Contract and a new standard REIQ Residential Lots in a Body Corporate Contract in early December.
The Neighbourhood Disputes Resolution Act 2…011 will still commence on 1 November 2011. The Act requires a seller to provide a buyer, before the contract is signed, a copy of an application or order subject to the Act (relating to a neighbourhood type dispute, problem trees for example). This requirement will be included in the new editions of the contracts.
