The recently announced rollout of the NBN to the North Lakes area is a great result for the region and has been welcomed by Cooke & Hutchinson Managing Director Dan Hutchinson.

“I congratulate our Federal Member Luke Howarth for his persistence and advocacy of NBN access in the North Lakes and Mango Hill areas and commend the Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull for his efforts in securing this development,” said Mr Hutchinson.

“This is an issue I raised with Mr Howarth last year and I am very relieved to see that there has finally been a resolution to the problem.”

Cooke & Hutchinson Lawyers first raised the Broadband issue with the Member for Petrie last April, a few months after opening our North Lakes office. At the time, Mr Howarth was very receptive to the issue and has remained a strong advocate for North Lakes NBN access. The Communications Minister referred to the issue directly in official correspondence with Mr Howarth, vowing that the problem of lack of NBN access in North Lakes would be addressed.

“Both Mr Howarth and Mr Turnbull emphasised in a meeting last Thursday at Mango Hill how important the NBN will be for the future of Australian business,” said Mr Hutchinson.

“Luke Howarth has stood up for and has been a sensational advocate for local business in the Petrie Electorate. Mr Howarth is willing to listen to and engage with local business owners and is able to advocate effectively for solutions in his local community. These attributes make him a great asset to local business community”.

“I am relieved and delighted that North Lakes and surrounding suburbs are now set to benefit from this outstanding infrastructure project and am looking forward to watching and engaging in the continual growth and development of this vibrant region.”
