Upon the death of a member of your immediate family we are able to explain the contents of the deceased's Will (or explain the rights of all interested parties if there is no Will) and to assist the Executor in the collection of all estate assets in readiness for a distribution to the relevant beneficiaries.

Elder Law:
At Cooke & Hutchinson we understand that legal matters can often be confusing and intimidating, especially for older people. We also recognise that it is often our more senior citizens who require sound legal advice, particularly in relation to estate planning, property management and retirement villages. With this understanding of the legal needs of elderly citizens in mind, we have developed a specialised elder law practice, which allows us to deal with most areas of law effecting older persons and to clarify the issues surrounding these matters for our clients and remove the confusion and intimidation from the legal process.

Retirement Villages:
In the late 1980's retirement villages became an attractive proposition for many residents.

We have knowledge and experience in the establishment and running of retirement villages from a developer's point of view and are also able to offer sound advice to potential residents having regard to the requirements of the Retirement Villages Act and other related legislation.
